A week later

So I'm going to try really hard to update my blog once a week. I have a ton of things going on all the time, but when I sit down to blog, I draw a blank.

Brandon has been home from the hospital for a week now and he is doing pretty well. His blood sugar is in the normal range, the average for him is about 120. I keep telling him that I'm going to trade him in for a younger model, of course I'm kidding, funny he never laughs. He also has high blood pressure which goes along with diabetes, so he taking several medications right now, including an insulin shot every morning. He has a birthday coming up in August and I'm trying to think of a good gag gift. (I'm taking suggestions).

Well beside the high blood pressure there is one other side effect that I have noticed. He has become very good at diagnosing other peoples symptoms. Here's an example

Gabey: I'm thirsty
Brandon: Uh Oh you have diabetes
(insert eye roll here)

Me: Man, my back hurts
Brandon: Uh Oh you have diabetes
(insert loud sigh here)

So that's fun!

So the other day i was sitting at my desk eating a Hershey's cookies and creme candy bar and my boss, Janet, came upstairs and asked me what i was eating, so I told her

Janet: Are you allowed to eat that?
Me: Yes, I'm not diabetic
Janet: yes, but it runs in the family
Me: I don't think Brandon can give it to me.

Do you ever wish you could tell someone to mind their own business, Well it's was happening then. O'well she means well. C-ya next week...................
